With 150 years with the Football Association, Nike unveils the 2013 home kit for England’s national soccer team. The jersey still holds the tradition of the white and dark blue color way and pays homage to England’s very first uniform. It still features the iconic three lion crest and a hovering gold star signifying England’s first World Cup win with a gold ribbon, that says “150 years” and the dates 1863 and 2013. The jersey is set to be crafted from recycled water bottles and features some of Nike’s technology such as the Dri-Fit and laser-cut ventilation. This is the first time an England kit has had the famous Nike Swoosh logo featured on it after the sale of Umbro. Make sure to check out the new kit when it makes its debut on the pitch when England takes on the Republic of Ireland at Wembley Stadium on May 29.

The 38 year old midfielder decided to end his career today on a good stretch after a 20 year long season. He was able to captain his France team, Paris Saint German on their last match today of the season leading them to a 3-1 victory over relegated team Brest. “I want to say thank you to everybody in Paris – to my team-mates, to the staff, to the fans,” Beckham said as he addressed PSG supporters after the final whistle. “It’s been very special to finish my career here. It could not have been any more special. Being applauded by both the crowd and his fellow teammates this was definitely an honorable to for Beckham.
